Why Retirement Is a Scam

The Hard Truth About Working 9–5 and How I Found Freedom at 61

Life goes by at lightning speed.
The worst part is, we know it. Everyone says so.
But we keep on working like crazy, doing things we don’t like, for people most of us don’t even know, with the added hope that we’ll enjoy it one day.

Many people say that working 14 hours a day is good. That’s the only way to get there. But I think it’s the only way to screw up your health. I know all about that. I’ve been there. It’s not cool. It’s made me miserable.

I’m not telling you this to make you feel sorry for me. I’m sharing this with you because society imposes a deal on us that is nothing more and nothing less than a scam. Working in a 9–5 for a hypothetical retirement we’re not even sure we’ll ever enjoy.

I prefer to live differently. While doing something I love. And taking my time.
Spend it in nature.
With friends or family.

It’s all a question of organization.

If, like me, you think life is short and want to make the most of it,
If you have experience and want to share it (while earning a living),
Then I’ve got good news for you. All this is now possible.
I’m living proof.
After years of living in a 9–5 and working to the brink of burnout, I’ve finally realized that I can live differently.

Let’s face it, it took me a long time. I’m now 61. That’s saying something.
And I had to work at first. I had to get organized, get rid of my prejudices, and above all the useless things and obligations I’d foolishly imposed on myself.

Today, I work 5 hours a day, I do what I like, and the word retirement has been banished from my vocabulary.
I’ve regained control of my life.
And I’m helping others to regain theirs.

Maybe you?
