There’s a Little-Talked-About Revolution That Affects Us All.

And you’d better get ready.

Reid Hoffman, predicts that the 9–5 job will be gone in 10 years.

His prediction is implacably logical.

1- The 9–5 was born with the industrial revolution and developed to help rebuild countries destroyed by war.

Labor was needed. They arrived in masses.

2- Then the workforce settled in.

Going to work became the norm. Whether in a factory or a soulless tower block.

3- Universities drove the nail in. Training young people to fit the mold.

To the great satisfaction of their corporate benefactors.

4- In exchange for our lives, they offered us retirement.

With no guarantee that we’ll ever enjoy it.

But there’s a catch.

The 9.5 is no more natural to a human being than a cage is to a tiger.

Retirement even less so.

So it’s only to be expected that this model will one day collapse.

That day has come. The model so celebrated (especially by companies) is cracking.

Human beings are not stupid.

They know that life is short.

“We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we have only one. — Confucius

Freedom from the 9–5 is now possible.

With very few resources. All you need is a laptop and an Internet connection.

Of course, you need willpower. Perseverance.

You don’t get something for nothing. There is no free lunch.

Some people prefer to stay in their 9–5.

Because, you may say, they have no choice.

Wrong. You always have a choice.

Between living an ordinary life and regretting it one day.

Or to really live it.

Others will say they’re too old.

Wrong again. There’s no age to start.

The proof: I’m 60. All I’ve ever done is start again. With the joy of a teenager.

And I’ve done a lot. Believe Me.
