The Harsh Truth That Many Coaches And Consultants Don’t Want To See.
And that could cost their future.
I’m not here to make friends. It’s not the idea. I want them react. It’s for their own good.
Yesterday, when I asked a coach if she needed help to grow her practice, she replied no, because she had been working in coaching for twenty years.
A response that left me perplexed.
Having twenty years of experience is not a guarantee of longevity.
Especially if you’re still working on Excel sheets.
Like this other consultant who hasn’t changed his operating mode for… Also 20 years… and without an online presence.
“You understand, Pat, chasing prospects, visiting them on-site, taking care of them, handling administrative tasks, and communicating on social media, it’s a lot of work.”
No kidding.
Trying to do everything is a sure path to burnout.
No one can do it all.
Including you.
Unless you’re a Swiss Army knife.
Frankly, I don’t give them two years before they disappear.
Just like all those among you who haven’t adapted to new technologies.
